Cardigan A. Connor is a first time candidate seeking to represent District  7, West End, as a member of the AUF team. A most outstanding sports ambassador for Anguilla based on his outstanding professional cricket career playing for Hampshire County Cricket Club. Deeply engaged in using sports as a powerful vehicle to develop Anguilla’s youth. His passion and work have led Connor to contest the 2015 elections as an AUF member.

Connor attended the West End Primary and The Valley Secondary School. He was further educated at Langley College in England. He made his cricket first class debut on 30 May 1984 (Anguilla Day) with Hampshire ccc, where he played for 15 years.

Connor has made Anguilla proud internationally for years. For him, one of his most precious accomplishments was honouring the pioneers of sail boat racing in West End. He is proud to have brought forth the awareness of sickle cell anaemia and for his work with the development of youth in sports here in Anguilla.

Connor is committed to creating jobs for Anguillians. He wants to open up the sports industry for our youth, creating Opportunities for sporting scholarships and development programs. Overall, Connor wants to nurture the honour and pride we should all have as Anguillians.

Connor lives in West End. He enjoys playing golf and boat racing.
