Donville Inniss
Candidate for St. James South

dlp

dot PROFILE

Donville Inniss lives in his St. James South Constituency and is more than familiar with the problems his constituents discuss with him everyday.  He is very concerned that in a seemingly affluent society like Barbados the average person struggles to survive. He repeatedly hears complaints about the high cost of living and as a result fully understands the plight of the "working poor".  Other problems brought to his attention are inadequate recreational facilities, underemployment, deteriorating and expensive health-care, the plight of the elderly and wastage of public funds.  He is convinced that a more caring government could solve these problems.

Donville Inniss is a graduate of Harrison's College, the Community College and the University of the West Indies.  He is an entrepreneur who owns a Management Company specializing in International Business Management.  To date his firm provides management and consultancy services to a portfolio of 75 companies operating all over the world.  He has worked in this field for the past 15 years in places such as South Korea, USA, Canada and Europe.  He believes that Barbadians need an enabling environment to acquire the special skills required to succeed in the global marketplace.

Donville has always risen to the challenge of leadership.  He has served as President of the Young Democrats, Vice President of the Barbados Youth Council, President of the Barbados Community College Students Guild, and Vice President of the UWI Alumni.  He is a Past President and an active member of The Rotary Club of Barbados West.  He has been a member of the DLP since 1985, and has been its Treasurer and Executive Council member for the past 2 years.

Donville is a team player and wants to be part of a winning team that enables all Barbadians to achieve their full potential in their own country.

Donville is married to Gail and they have two sons, Kyle and Kofi.
