Richard Sealy grew up
in St. Michael and got involved in politics from an early
age. He has served his Party in several capacities in
youth groups, in work at the branch and national levels, and
in the international forum. He has been the
Parliamentary Representative for St. Michael South Central
since May 2003.
Richard's connectivity with his constituents
is well known. He maintains a weekly clinic at his
constituency office to listen to the people he was elected to
serve. He has fought two campaigns on issues of great
concern to them and feels frustrated sitting on the opposition
bench. He is eager to become part of a DLP government
and to be given the chance to address the following needs of
his constituents:
- Access to decent, affordable housing
- Greater opportunities to find and create
employment
- Improved public transportation
Richard is well equipped to serve at the
highest level. He is a product of Harrison's College,
and the Universities of Florida and the West Indies. He
specialized in Civil Engineering and now runs his own
engineering company.
Richard brings to the table an interest and
expertise in Entrepreneurial Development and Foreign
Affairs. He is a great belonger and is a member of the
St. Cyprian's Anglican Church, Quakers Sports and Social Club,
Barbados Cancer Society and Bridgetown Jaycees.
Richard would like to see a truly just
society, and he feels that this can only be achieved by
completing the Democratic Labour Party revolution.
Richard is still an eligible bachelor. |
