People's Democratic Congress (PDC)

The People’s Democratic Congress (PDC) is a minor political party in Barbaods.

PDC was formed in January 2005. It evolved out of the Society for Mass Freedom and Democracy (SMFD), which is its parent body. SMFD was instrumental in the coming about of PDC for two major reasons:

The main slogan of the party is “Partnerships People Sovereignty.”

The Political Leader and President of the Executive of the party is Mark Adamson.

Four candidates ran in the 2008 election but failed to win any seats. In 2013, the PDC formed the Coalition of United Parties (CUP) with the Bajan Free Party. There were two PDC candidates, but they also failed to win a seat having polled 86 votes or 0.06 per cent of the ballots cast.

The party has three declared candidates for the 2018 General Election.
