Political parties on Aruba gear up for elections

aw_election_2013ARUBA, 20 September 2013 – Voters on Aruba will be voting in the island’s general election on Friday, 27 September 2013 on that island, and already, the various political parties to contest polls have been hard at work trying to convince the electorate to vote for them.

While there are several small parties contesting the polls this year, the bigger political parties, namely the Arubaanse Volks Partij (AVP), Movimiento Electoral di Pueblo (MEP), and Partido Democracia Real (PDR) have been carrying out a series of campaign sessions. Continue reading
