Michael Denis Lett Michael Denis Lett
Constituency: St. David

Party: National Democratic Congress

dot PROFILE

Michael Denis Lett is an honest and dependable pillar of his St. David constituency. He has tremendous respect for his constituents particularly the vulnerable sections such as the young people under 25 years and those aged 60 years and over. These two categories of citizens of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique, represent the largest population groupings in the country. And yet they suffer gross neglect. They share with rest of Grenada a host of deprivations including:

  • Inadequate housing
  • Poor infrastructure
  • High levels of unemployment

Meanwhile a corrupt and uncaring Government pursues its own agenda that seems unrelated to the empowerment of the people of our beloved country.

Michael Lett attended Presentation College before pursuing a career as a Teacher. Then in 1961 he began training as a Surveyor. In 1967, he went on to pursue an advanced level course at the College of Arts, Science and Technology (CAST) in Jamaica. He then worked as a Land Surveyor with the Ministry of Works for 33 years. In 1993, he started his own Land Surveyor’s business, which he operates at Bailles Bacolet.

Despite his busy schedule, Michael finds time to give service to the St. Vincent De Paul Society, the Catholic Church Council and to several sporting organizations in his constituency. He feels strongly about serving the community. He does house repairs, builds new homes for the less fortunate, provides schoolbooks and uniforms to students as well as hot midday meals, medicine, food parcels and monthly financial contributions to the needy.

Michael’s mission is to assist in the development of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique, especially in the area of Agriculture. He has very strong views on the development of the Agricultural sector and is eagerly awaiting an opportunity to make a major contribution within an NDC administration.

Having studied the philosophy and management styles of all the Parties, he joined the NDC and was successful in his bid to represent the St. David’s constituency in 2003. Michael Lett is willing, able and ready to carry out his mission as a member of the next NDC Government.

Michael is a widower, who has fathered six children. He is a firm believer in the traditional values of honesty, self-reliance and simple decency. He wants to see these values passed on to all children in Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.

Michael needs your vote to achieve his objective of passing on to the next generation a country in a better state than he found it.
