Roy Angus Fleming was born on the 30th of April 1963. He is the proud father of three children, Tehya, Jabari and Aushi. He is a commercial pilot, a flight instruct and a father of three. As a youth, Roy attended Maurice Hillier Memorial School, Irish Town Primary School, Basseterre Junior High School and Basseterre Senior High School. He received an Associate's Degree in Flight Technology from the Florida Institute of Technology. He is a certified FAA Flight Instructor and a chief pilot.
His long list of work experience include employment at the Government Post Office, Government Supply Office, Air British Virgin Islands, Tropic Aircraft Sensor Scientific, Construction Technologies, Nevis Express and Carib Aviation. Throughout his career he has displayed high levels of professionalism and dedicated for which he is highly recognized and commended by his peers.
In addition to his professional requirements, Roy has always made time to develop himself holistically and also to make contributions to society in terms of culture and human relations. He was the Founding Member of the United West Indian and African Student Association (UWIASA) whilst attending the Florida Institute of Technology. Roy is an avid football and basketball athlete. He is also heavily involved in music having performed on the second Music Festival in 1997 and he is a recording artiste having released the album “Right From Wrong”.
Out of a need to be involved in the drive for National progress, Roy has involved himself in politics. He has always been involved in the development of the communities of Central Basseterre and he has proven that he can make a viable contribution to the people of this area and the wider nation.
Roy has a passion for music. A reggae artist, he released an album entitled "Right from Wrong."
