Timothy Harris grew up in the village of Tabernacle and attended both Cayon and Bassetere High Schools.
He has numerous degrees from six universities across the Caribbean and Canada. These include an Accounting degree from the University of the West Indies, the St Augustine Campus of UWI in Trinidad, a PHD dissertation at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Administration, majoring in Accounting.
Timothy has participated in politics since 1993 and was elected in 1995, 2000 and 2004. He has served as Minister of Agriculture, Lands and Housing, Minister of Education, Labour and Social Security, and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Education. He is currently Minister of Finance, International Trade, Industry and Commerce and Consumer Affairs.
He has published several works and received several awards. Including the St Kitts Youth Council Award for Excellence in Education, the FESTAB Community Award for outstanding contribution to FESTAB and a certificate for outstanding contribution to the Cayon High School.
