Anesia Baptiste is a politician and former Opposition Senator in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Early life and education
Baptise was an Island Scholar 1998 and earned am
Upper Second Class Honors-B.A. French (Major), Linguistics (Minor); and a
Double Master Degree in Hotel & Tourism Management with the French "Titre D'Ingenieurs Maitre" (Master Engineer Title). She is also a
Trained Trainer of Tour Guides with the world Federation of Tourist Guides Association (WFTGA).
Career
Baptiste was appointed an Opposition Senator for the New Democratic Party from 29 December 2010 to 28 February 2012.
She launched the Democratic Republican Party (DRP) in August 2012 and serves as its President. As leader of the DRP, she unsuccessfully contested the West St. George seat in the 2015 general election, losing to Cecil McKie of the Unity Labour Party (ULP).
