John Henry Bostwick is a former President of the Senate of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas.

Early life and education

John Henry Bostwick was born on 3 May 1939 in Nassau, Bahamas. He is the son of Edmond Charles and Maud Aleen (Johnson) Bostwick. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from Exeter University, Devon, England (1963).

Career

A lawyer, Bostwick was Crown Counsel for the Bahamas Government. He was Leader of the Free National Movement, Bahamas from 1977 to 1982, and a Senator from 1982 to 1987. Appointed for another term in the Senate in 1992, Bostick served as its President from 1992 to 2002.

Personal life

Bostwick is married to wife Janet Gwenette Musgrove (30 August 1961), a former Attorney General. He is the father of four children - Margot, Kelley, Lisa, and John.
