Kevin John Boyce
Independent Senator, Barbados

Kevin John Boyce is a Barbadian lawyer, politician, and current Senator.

Early life and education

Kevin Boyce completed his LL.B at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill, in 1998 and obtained his Legal Education Certificate from the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad & Tobago in 2000. He was admitted to the Bar in both Barbados and Trinidad & Tobago that same year.

While at University, Boyce sat as the national affairs chairperson of the Guild of Students and was also President of the Law Society. He is an Alumnus of the Lex Mundi Institute (2008 Monterrey and 2015 Cambridge) and the United States International Visitor Leadership Program (2014).

Career

Boyce joined the Barbadian law firm Carter Gittens Farmer in 2002 as an associate in its litigation department and was made partner in 2008. He is a former director of the Barbados Investment and Development Corporation.

On 4 June 2018, Boyce was appointed an Independent Senator.

Personal life

Boyce is son of former Minister of Health John Boyce.

Boyce is an active member of the Rotary Club of Barbados West.
