Roger Cousins, OBE
Roger Cousins, OBE was the Deputy Governor of Anguilla and acted as Governor of Anguilla from 27 January 2000 to 4 February 2000.
Career
Roger Cousins, OBE was career civil servant, until he retired in 2002, with a wide range of experience in human resource management and development he has worked in a number of Government departments.
After a spell working for the New Zealand Government he returned to HM Treasury where as The Treasury Overseas Allowances Inspector he was introduced to the UK Aid programme and as a result joined ODA where he worked on various country desks and also the UN desk covering UNDP. In 1993 he became Chief Secretary to the Turks and Caicos Islands followed later as Deputy Governor of Anguilla he carried out successful implementation of public sector reform programmes in each territory.
Honours and awards
He was awarded the OBE in the 1997 Queen's Birthday Honours.
