Sir Herbert George Holwell Duffus (30 August 1908 – 30 October 2002) was acting Governor-General of Jamaica from 2 March to 27 June 1973.

Early life and education

Herbert George Holwell Duffus was born in St. Ann's Bay, Jamaica.

Career

He became Chief Justice of Jamaica in 1968, serving until taking office as Governor-General.

Honours and awards

Herbert George Holwell Duffus was knighted in 1966.

Death

Sir HErbert died on 30 October 2002, aged 94.
