Ricardo Gibson is a Barbadian coach, politician and former election candidate.

Early life and education

Ricardo Gibson was born on 23 February 1969 in Parish Land, Christ Church, Barbados where he still resides. He attended Providence Primary School and Princess Margaret Secondary School. He also studied at Long Island University, New York.

Career

Gibson holds an American license and a Brazilian license to coach football. He is a member of the US Soccer Coaches Academy. He has been a physical Trainer with the Barbados Youth Services since 2006.

Gibson is a volunteer football coach in Silver Sands for the Primer league. He is also a member of the Christ Church Football League and a former coordinator of the premier league and international games with the BFA.

In 2008, Gibson unsuccessfully contested the Christ Church East seat as an Independent Candidate.

Personal life

Gibson is the father of two children.
