Ian Gooding-Edghill is a Barbadian businessman, politician, and a current Member of Parliament.

Early life and education

George Patrick Ian Gooding-Edghill is a graduate of the St. Leonard's Secondary School and Cornell University's School of Hotel Management.

Career

Ian began his working life in human resource management and now sits on the Board of Directors of several regional and international companies. As a member of the Board of Directors of the St. James' Hotel Group, Ian was instrumental in ensuring the appointment of several Barbadian junior and senior managers within the group. He is currently the HR Director at Elegant Hotels.

A former Senator. Gooding-Edghill is also a former President of the Barbados Employers' Confederation, and was deputy chairman of the Barbados Accreditation Council.

Gooding-Edghill unsuccessfully contested the St. Michael West Central constituency in the 2013 General Election but was defeated by incumbent Democratic Labour Party (DLP) candidate James Paul. He won the seat in the 2018 election.
