Jean C. NIsbett-Harris is a politician, and former Cabinet Minister in the Nevis Island Administration.

Career

In 1997, Jean C. Harris successfully contested a seat in the Nevis Island Assembly as a candidate for the Concerned Citizens’ Movement (CCM).  She became the first woman elected to office in Nevis. She served as Minister of Health, Culture, Women and Community Affairs, Youth and Sports in the Nevis Island Administration in the 1997 to 2006 Vance Amory led Concerned Citizen’s Movement Administration.

In 2004, Mrs. Harris unsuccessfully contested the Nevis#11 seat as a CCM candidate, losing to Patrice Nisbett of the Nevis Reformation Party (NRP).
