Edwin George Hutson
Former Cabinet Minister, Barbados

George Hutson is a Barbadian businessman, politician, and former Cabinet Minister.

Early life and education

Edwin George Hutson is a product of Good Shepherd Primary School, Combermere and the Barbados Community College. He is also a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a practising Chartered Accountant.

Career

Hudson was the Member of Parliament for the constituency of St. James Central from 2008 to 2013. In 2013, he however lost his re-election bid to Kerrie Symmonds of the Barbados Labour Party (BLP) whom he had defeated in the 2008 election.

Personal life

He has served as a member and past President of the Rotary Club of Barbados West. He is also a member of the West Side Toastmasters Club. He is an active member of his church.

George and his wife Isabelle and their three sons live in St. James.
