Edmond Mansoor is an Antiguan and Barbudan politician, and former President of the Senate of Antigua and Barbuda, and Cabinet Minister.
Career
An accomplished physician and past President of the Senate of Antigua and Barbuda, Dr. Mansoor has engineered Antigua’s phenomenal ICT revolution that has resulted in internationally competitive rankings and penetration rates. The imminent commissioning of competitive multiple 4G LTE networks, a phenomenon promulgated by Dr. Mansoor is accelerating the rate of knowledge transfer and technological diffusion as well as amplifying Antigua and Barbuda’s competitive advantage as a fast learning, knowledge economy.
Edmond Mansoor served as President of the Senate of Antigua and Barbuda from 26 March 2004 - 5 January 2005.
In 2005, he was appointed Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, with responsibility for Information, Broadcasting, and Telecommunications. In 2009, he served as Minister of State in the Office of The Prime Minister.
