Levi Ezekiel Morton
Former Deputy Premier, Nevis Island Administration

Levi Ezekiel Morton was an entrepreneur, politician, and Cabinet Minister in the Nevis Island Administration.

Career

Morton, was the first Minister of Trade and Industry in the Nevis Island Administration.  He served in this post from 1983 to 1987.  He also served as Secretary of the Nevis Reformation Party (NRP).

In 1995, he unsuccessfully contested the Nevis #10 seat as an Independent Candidate in the Federal election.

Legacy

In 2010, the Supply Office Building at the Pinneys Industrial Site was renamed the Levi E. Morton Building in his honour.
