Former Cabinet Minister and current Opposition Member of Parliament, St. Kitts and Nevis

Patrice Nisbett is a politician and Member of Parliament in St. Kitts and Nevis.

Early life and edcuation

The son of Marion Jeffers and Aubrey Nisbett, Patrice Nisbett was born on 5 September 1971 in the parish of St. James in the island of Nevis.

Nisbett received his early education at the Combermere All Age School (as it was then known).  He left the Combermere School after qualifying for Secondary School and obtained his Secondary Education at the Charlestown Secondary School.  In 1988, he entered the Sixth Form College and graduated in 1990.

Patrice left Nevis in 1990 and pursued a degree in Law at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, Barbados.  He obtained his degree in 1993 and travelled to Trinidad and entered the Hugh Wooding Law School and completed his Legal Education Certificate there.

Career

He was called to the Bar in Nevis on 7 November 1995 and since then has had an active career at the Bar, engaging in both civil and criminal cases. He has served as President of the Nevis Cricket Association and he continues to be an active member. He was also President of the Nevis Youth Council in 2001.

He is the current representative for Nevis#11 in the National Assembly.
