Wilbert E. Sterling was a former Antiguan parliamentarian.
Early life and education
Wilbert E. Sterling was born on 26 October 1939, in Freeman's Village, Antigua to Montague Sterling and Ruth Walker.
Career
Sterling represented St. Lukes for the Progressive Labour Movement from 1971 - 1976.
In November 1973 he announced his dissatisfaction with the government's performance and chose to sit as an independent member of parliament. In August 1974, he announced that he had joined the oppostion Antigua Labour Party. Sterling subsequently lost his seat in the 1976 election. Personal life
Sterling was the husband of Elmina Lois (Warren) Sterling and the father of six.
Death
Sterling passed away Monday, 23 November 2009, aged 70 at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital, following a brief illness.
