Deputy Political Leader, The Progress Party, Grenada
Basil Williams is a Grenadian politician and the Deputy Political Leader of the Progress Party (TPP).
Early life and education
Basil Williams was born in Grenada on 10 January 1984. He grew up with his grandparents Matilda and Joel Roberts in New Hampshire, St.George. Basil graduated from the Grenada Boys Secondary School at the tender age of 15 and moved to the United States at age 16.
He had a hard time adjusting to the busy life of New York, which led to his enlistment in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman (medic).
He hold an A.A. in Liberal Arts from the New York City College of Technology, and a B.Sc. in Health Services Administration from the New York City College of Technology.
After his military contract ended, Basil went on to work for Narco Freedom, a drug rehabilitation clinic, and Metropolitan Visions Correction Services - (a prestigious optometry clinic in Manhattan, New York).
Williams is contesting the St. George North East seat for the The Progress Party in the 2018 General Election.
