Progressive People's Party (PPP) |
The Progressive People's Party (PPP) was a political party in Anguilla formed in 1976 by J. Ronald Webster, just in time to challenge the election of that year. Webster and the PPP won that election, but they were replaced by Emile Gumbs and the Anguilla National Alliance within a year as the result of a no-confidence vote.
By the next elections, 1980-1981, Webster had shifted to another party label, the Anguilla United Party (AUP), which was also known as the Anguilla United Movement (AUM). |
