Progressive Workers' and Farmers' Union (PALU)
The Progressive Workers' and Farmers' Union (Progressieve Arbeiders- en Landbouwersunie, PALU) is a political party in Suriname.  On 12 March 1977, the Progressive Workers and Farmers Union (PALU) was established.  Iwan Krolis became the first chairman of the party.  During the elections of that year the PALU obtained no seats.

After the military coup of 1980 PALU came into the center of power.  PALU-topper Errol Alibux was Minister of Social Affairs.  After the December murders in 1982, Alibux on February 28, 1983 Prime Minister of Suriname and Foreign Minister.  This government was disbanded in January 1984.  In the elections of 1987 PALU won four parliamentary seats.  In 2000, Anton Pole in Coronie elected to parliament.

At thet legislative elections held on 25 May 2005, the party won 1.0% of the popular vote and no seats in the National Assembly.  At the 2010 elections, the PALU participated as Megacombinatie (MC).

In the 2015 Surinamese general election, PALU again participated on an individual basis. Although the party achieved only 0.67% of the votes, PALU got one seat in the Coronie District.
