Candidates
are chosen by local parties, through national party
organisations - which must approve local candidates.
Candidates are not required to live in the constituencies
in which they run; the candidate with the most votes
wins the constituency seat.
There are 43 candidates contesting seats in the General
Elections to be held on 13 December 2010.The ruling Unity Labour Party (ULP) and the main opposition New Democratic Party (NDP) have both nominated candidates to contest all 15 seats, while the Green Party has nominated 13 candidates.
