Born in Chapman's Village on September 3rd 1964, Addison Thomas grew up with a love for learning. Chapman’s Village is an agricultural community with strong Christian roots and Addison, who admits not having it easy growing up, credits his parents for his love of learning.
As a youngster, Addison, who is affectionately known as "Bash" attended the Lowmans Windward Anglican Primary School. He completed his school leaving exams and was accepted to teach as a grade one teacher at the same school from which he had just graduated. During that period Bash attended the Georgetown Teachers Training Centre and upon successful completion of his course of study he then commenced studies at the St. Vincent Teachers Training College. Still striving for self-improvement in the area of Education, Bash attended the University of the West Indies Cave Hill, where he completed a Bachelor's Degree in Educational Administration. Upon his return he acted as Head Teacher at the Lowmans Windward Anglican School from 2007 to 2008.
Addison has touched the lives of hundreds of young people, as an excellent Primary School Teacher. At present, he teaches at the Park Hill Government School. He is a beloved teacher, whose approach has energized all young people with whom he has made contact.
He spends his spare time offering evening classes to many Primary School students at the Common Entrance Level and he hopes to bring his high level of commitment, efficiency and compassion to his assignment as a representative of the South Central Windward Constituency.
