Dr. Jerrol Thompson is a Medical Doctor whose passion for serving his people led him to leaving a successful medical practice in the US and returning to his roots on Saint Vincent.

Jerroll Thompson was born in Chateaubelair and attended St. Vincent & the Grenadines Grammar School. Later, he went on to study at St. Georges University School of Medicine. His passion for medicine and personal drive led him to the United States where he became a specialist in Internal Medicine at the Methodist Hospital of New York. To continue his expansive knowledge of medicine, he was awarded with a Fellowship in Infectious Diseases, Allergy & Immunology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry New Jersey USA.

Having excelled in the US as a medical specialist, Dr. Thompson turned his interest to business and obtained a Masters in Business Administration from Columbia University. His extensive knowledge of medicine and business converged when he opened his own private practice in the United States.

Though his medical practice was thriving, Dr. Thompson felt the burning desire to return to his roots and help the people of St. Vincent. In 1999, he returned to Saint Vincent and was ran successfully for Representative for North Leward. Because of his extensive knoweldge of medicine, international affairs, and technology, Dr. Thompson was asked to serve as the Minister of Telecommunications, Science, Technology and Industry for Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines since 2001.

Outside of his government service, Dr. Thompson has also become a leader in the business and communications industry. Between 2005 and 2007, he served as the President of the Caribbean Telecommunications Union (CTU).

While there, he expanded the scope and prowess of the organization  Dr. Thompson is also currently the Vice President of COMSYC (Committee on Science & Technology).  

Throughout his nearly 10 years of service in the North Leeward Constituency, Dr. Thompson and the ULP have made many accomplishments to bring the community forward
