Saboto Scofield Caesar is a young, brilliant, energetic community activist and advocate. A lawyer by profession, Caesar was born and raised in the constituency of South Central Windward. He is a devout Christian and a family oriented young man.
He holds a Master of Laws degree (specialization in Banking and Finance Law) from the University of London; a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the West Indies and a Legal Education Certificate from the Hugh Wooding Law School. The former Island Scholar and Banana Growers Association scholarship recipient is a graduate of the Diamonds Village Government School, St. Martins Secondary and the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College. His wide-ranging professional experience was garnered from his work as a lawyer, community worker, teacher, Government Senator and Minister.
He has served as Junior Minister in the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries; and Minister of Housing, Lands and Survey, Physical Planning, Informal Human Settlement and Local Government.
Caesar continues to be a force for progress in the constituency of South Central Windward. He has worked with numerous sporting and cultural groups alike and maintains an active interest in football, basketball, cricket and netball. He has played a key role in mobilising the South Central Windward Development Organisation (SCWDO), to launch and complete community projects such as the Mt. Grenan Playing Field, the Diamonds Playing field, the Lowmans Pan Yard, the refurbishment of the Greiggs Basketball Court and several capacity building programs. His work with the farming community, and primary, secondary and tertiary level students has been exemplary.
He has written extensively as a weekly newspaper columnist on matters of youth affairs. |
