PROFILE

Having a firm belief that education is the backbone of development, Nigel ‘Nature’ Stephenson entered the teaching profession twelve years ago.  Having taught subjects such as Geography, Principles of Business, and Economic, he has amassed a wealth of experience and success in enlightening out nations youth.  Knowledge is power and Mr. Stephenson is putting power in the hands of the leaders of tomorrow.

Nigel believes in all-round development as is shown by his involvement in sport at the community, national and regional level.  He is actively involved in many types of athletics as Chairman of the South Leeward Cricket and Netball Associations, Games Secretary of the South Leeward Football Association, Executive Member of the South Leeward Sports Association, Executive Member of the Vermont Sports and Cultural Club as well as Vice-President of the Campden Park Sports and Cultural Club.

He holds a Bachelor's of Science in Economics and Management Program –University of London.

Stephenson successully contested the South Leeward seat for the NDP in 2010 after losing to Douglas Slater in 2005.

His interests outside of politics include sports especially Cricket and Football, youth organizations.
